About the web
How did the idea come about?
The idea came to me when I lost my job and had to move to London to look for work. I lived in London for a while and always had the problem of having to use pounds. So I was always looking for ways to exchange euros for pounds. I used the cashback offered by supermarkets, but it wasn't enough and it wasn't convenient. Once, a friend of mine who was returning to Spain told me he had a few pounds he wanted to exchange for euros. So we did a swap. The good thing was that we were able to exchange even the smallest coins. A currency exchange office only accepts banknotes.
On another occasion, I went on holiday to Bali (Indonesia). I had to exchange euros for Indonesian rupees. The exchange rate at a currency exchange bureau cost me about 10% of the amount I needed to take with me. On my return, I also lost money when I exchanged my remaining rupees for euros at a currency exchange bureau. I thought that I was probably not the only person who was annoyed about having to pay commissions, which is why I created this website.

I am a regular user of Blablacar.
I thought this web could be very similar, but instead of posting and searching for carpooling opportunities, you could post and search for currency exchanges.
